Hi. I'm 49 - but don't look it. I'm divorced with two sons aged 18 and 16. I have a widowed father, who is independent but living near me for the obvious longer-term reasons. I'm petite, with straw-berry blonde hair, greenish eyes and a few freckles (some Scots/Irish ancestry!). I work 4 days a week - but it's a fairly responsible position and occasionally requires evening and weekend working. I drive.

I enjoy cinema and theatre; eating out; walking; anything historic; le roc; a bit of ballroom/latin; current affairs/ politics, pub quizzes etc (I'm a little bit competitive, but I don't mind not winning!). I like red wine - in reasonable quantities - and I enjoy conversation.

I'm a bit reserved - but not shy. I enjoy meeting new people and do not generally find social situations awkward.

About you

I would like to make some new friends - both male and female. I've been divorced for 14 years and having concentrated on bringing up my sons and then returning to work, I am in a bit of a social rut. On the whole I'm happily single, but I would like (one day) to meet someone special. Along the way I'd like to meet and talk to people who are prepared to be friends; to socialise, enjoy life and (if male) take any relationship very slowly. I don't like to feel pressured.
