I love new ideas, and have lots of opinions - yet although people say I'm confident and determined the real me goes a little deeper and gentler than they may think. So I take a little getting to know . . .

I like to travel, eat good food, lose myself in good music and have long, thought-provoking conversations about anything from why there is a Universe to whether the ceiling needs painting. But I believe that the purpose of thinking is to create action, so I'm always on the go.

And in that regard, I fly, ride a horse, ride a motorbike (with a little more judgment nowadays), sunbathe, etc. And I can re-wire a house and plumb in a bathroom (with no deaths and just small floods), cook a little, read poetry out-loud without sounding like an idiot . . . and so on.

In a nutshell, I'm a warm-hearted person with a love for life, looking for someone to make my heart sing.
 

I am seeking a friend who perhaps can become someone more - that ever-since-now-elusive soul-mate?

I would like you to be honest; kind; intelligent; and with an acute, sometimes wicked, sense of humour . . . this all sounds a bit like me with the bad bits left out! A sensitive soul would be nice, but you should be tough as well. Not a contradiction, in my experience, if you've lived this long. I sometimes get into scrapes, you see, though I'm getting better at spotting them a long way off and avoiding them.

Honesty is probably the most important thing to me (which leads directly to the wicked sense of humour?).

I sometimes thinks life's a bit silly and like a sense of the ridiculous. So a mature attitude to life coupled with an ability to quickly regress to childhood (or is that only men?) could make things more enjoyable.
