About me

I'm looking for friendship rather than romance at the moment, but hey, who knows?

I'm intelligent, thoughtful, humourous, and into all sorts of things from gardening to industrial archaeology.

In the past I have worked in a snack bar, worked on a building site, been a lighting designer, serviced photocopiers, started a housing co-operative, built a marquee from scratch, made a television programme, taught hypnosis and relaxation, organised conferences, done stage lighting and sound - oops this sounds more like a job interview!

I like real ale, fine wine and women who can make me laugh. I go to folk festivals and clubs, and like the theatre (though I may spend more time looking at the lighting and listening to the sound than watching the show ) though I don't get as often as I would like.

I like the songs of Tom Lehrer, Harry Chapin, Phil Ochs and poems by Les Barker. Humour is definitely "I'm sorry I'll Read that Again" and "Round the Horne" rather than the stuff that's on Radio 4 at the moment.

About you

A sense of humour is vital (just look at my picture), intelligent, thoughtful and sensitive, all the usual stuff. A love of music would be great asset - just about anything but jazz and house/garage or whatever its called! I'm not fond of tobacco smoke, but have some good friends who smoke so tolerate it when necessary.
