My hobbies and interests

Cooking	Only do simple cooking, could probably be a chef but cannot spare the time on it! I enjoy food rather than cooking!
Shopping	Not a window shopper, do shopping when necessary with a defined list. Have better things to do with my time.Don't love it or loathe it.
DIY	I am perfectly good at DIY but it is not a passion - will do DIY when necessary but don't actively seek it out! Gardening is a passion though.
Housework	Housework is a necessity rather than a desire! Do enough to keep things clean and tidy. Again I am more interested in doing more enjoyable things.
Dining out	I do like eating out, preferably as an addition to visiting the cinema or theatre the same evening. Chinese is my favourite, like highly flavoured dishes. Have a spicy and sweet tooth. Very into seafood. Not a great fan of pasta, find it boring!
Movies	I like the movies - big fan of Clint Eastwood, Ewan McGregor, Morgan Freeman. Favourite films are The Good The Bad and The Ugly, The Outlaw Josey Wales, The Man Without a Face, Gangs of New York, One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest and many more.
Theatre	Like the theatre. Enjoy a variety of plays, don't like rambling plays that go nowhere, like them with a message or definite ending, rather than just clever and arty with no substance! Don't like boring family dramas!
Music	Into electronic music, New Romantic and Indie. Favourite decade:80s. Favourite artists: David Bowie, Kraftwerk, Pet Shop Boys, Depeche Mode, Marc Almond, Chemical Brothers, Roxy Music, Kaiser Chiefs
Gigs	Like gigs, but not local pub band stuff. Prefer arena gigs of well known bands.
Pubs	Go to pubs to meet friends or watch sport, but not into pubs just to drink. Spending alot of time in the pub is on the slippery slope I think!
Clubbing	Not into clubbing, never have been really. Like to be able to talk to people, not shout over the noise!
Newspapers and magazines	Don't read newspapers or magazines much. Football and walking magazines are OK though.
Books	Not into book reading. Not into novels, read reference books when I need to learn about a subject.
TV	Not into telly at all, except to watch the odd countryside programme or good comedy or football. Much prefer listening to music when I can do other things at the same time!
Watching sport	Like watching football, but only watch a few matches a year as life's too short!
Playing sport	Like to play football, tennis, badminton still, even though don' t spend most of the week doing so as I used to in my twenties.
Hobbies	Enjoy long walks around the UK with my chocolate labrador dog. Enjoy gardening and amateur dramatics and visiting castles!

My hopes and dreams

In ten years I see myself	Settled with a loving partner in our own house in the country, preferably somewhere hilly and scenic. Not interested in retirement yet, still happy to work for a few more years. Hope to still be active, with more time for walking and keeping fit. Will never want to do nothing or 'fade away'.
Who would I invite to a dinner party?	Clint Eastwood, David Bowie and Eddie Izzard.
My ideal date	A sexy soulmate
What would I never, ever give up?	Sex! Because I enjoy it and think it is vital for a good relationship. Would also never give up my dog - he is such a fine faithful companion, unlike my 2 former wives!
If I had to give a speech on a subject I was passionate about ...	It would be about cruelty to animals - people who abuse animals really get my back up.
If I could visit anywhere in the world at any time in history	Europe in the Second World War - to see how awful the conditions were on the battlefields and the suffering that humans cause to one another.
If I had a million pounds to give to charity	A charity helping cure a human disease such a cancer, which causes terrible suffering.
My "and finally" section ...	I would like to meet someone who has a lust for life i.e. wanting to do things they have always wanted to but never had the right partner to do it with!
