Recently relocated to the area and don't know many people so I would like to make some new friends. I am outgoing and have many interests, especially genealogy, cooking, travel, dinner parties, quizzes, board games, countryside and animals.

Born and bred in the north east but have lived for many years in London. Am now of an age where, although I do love London I am all for a quieter life in the countryside.

I would like to meet people with similar interests or even different ones. Team up to go on outings etc. Or just join in generally with what ever is going on.

My hobbies and interests

Cooking	Love cooking all sorts of food: British, French, Modern European, Middle Eastern, Spanish, Italian, Indian, Chinese, Balken in fact most types.
Shopping	I love shopping even at the supermarket.
DIY	I will try and turn my hand to anything although are some things I can't/won't do.
Housework	I love everything in its place and really clean and tidy, however, sometimes it is less than perfect.
Dining out	I love eating out. All types of cuisines. Although not too keen on fast food places.
Movies	I haven't been to the cinema for yonks, but used to like it.
Theatre	I love theatre, concerts (esepcially classical or Motown), to a lesser degree the ballet and opera. Love museums and places of interest.
Music	Diverse tastes but especially classical, Motown oh and lots of others.
Gigs	I tend to value my peace and quiet but do like going to the odd concert.
Pubs	Not overkeen on the pub scene unless it is coupled with eating. But would go.
Clubbing	My clubbing days are behind me but the odd occasion is fine.
Newspapers and magazines	I read the papers daily....I don't know why however, as they are always filled with doom and gloom.
Books	I do like reading very much, but have a penchant for talking books so I can do housework at the same time and not notice.
TV	Faves, any Agatha Christie, Cold Case, Come Dine With Me, Who Do You Think You Are, some documentaries, comedy, old films etc
Watching sport	Hate it
Playing sport	Never, apart from walking and playing with my dog.
Hobbies	Will have to think about this one

In ten years I see myself	Where I am now but with lots more friends.

My ideal date	Dinner at a good restaurant, fantastic company and lots of laughter

If I could visit anywhere in the world at any time in history	I would love to go back in time and visit all those on my massive family tree.
