Celtic Spirit (57) from West Sussex

A loving, warm, passionate and friendly Celtic woman... lived over half my life now in England (predominantly West Sussex) although born in Wales and raised in USA for 7 years in my informative teenage years.

I have a wide variety of interests..I enjoy spending time with my family and in particular, my 3 year old granddaughter....she is a great joy in my life and her birth into our family network has brought many blessings and lots of fun and laughter! She is a bit of a character...now I wonder where she gets that from?! Hmmmmm

I have eclectic tastes in just about everything from the music I listen to, the food I enjoy.. the social and cultural events I attend and the furnishings in my home. I love travel and socialising with friends and family .. particularly in the summer months when we go to a lot of outdoor picnic concerts or gigs. I love our village day every summer .. music in the evening down on the rec and its great to see everyone enjoying themselves.. without inhibition or shyness..dancing barefoot in the grass.......I also love our late night Xmas shopping events .. roasted chestnuts and Christmas carols....everyone making a social evening of it more than a shopping extravaganza.. of course there are those too who only go for the freebies of wine and nibbles.......moi? No never! :-)

Really enjoy visiting places of interest .. ie. castles (particular favourite of mine), other ancient sites, art galleries, museums, quaint villages and interesting historical places. I love going home to Wales for visits to family and friends and re-connecting myself to my country. I am happy living in England and in particular this area of Sussex.

I love visiting USA too as have many friends out there from my school days and have kept in close contact with a lot of them. I went out there this summer for nearly 3 weeks with another visit possibly planned (been saving up my airmiles) again this summer. May as well make hay whilst the sun shines! There is still so much of the USA I have yet to explore, although visited a fair amount of places when we lived out there, but mostly the east coast and midwest with a few other states thrown in for good measure! I have so many places on my TO DO list that I need to get cracking. I would much prefer though to do my travelling with someone special to share all the joys and blessings abound.

I am a self employed professional in a health/mental health/alternative therapy industry. I therefore choose my own hours and do this around providing care for my mother and granddaughter. It's great as I can work my own hours to suit my lifestyle within reason.

There is a lot more to me than I am going to write now so will leave the rest for when we meet or have that first chat on the phone.

I don't have any hard and fast rules about your physical appearance as long as you are a man of integrity, honesty, are trustworthy and have an open, kind and loving heart and soul. We will know when we meet whether there is something about each other that makes us want that 2nd date!

I would like it though if you enjoy seeing your family and friends too as this is something that in time, I would want us to share... family gatherings ..i.e. having everyone around for a Sunday roast .. or taking the grandchildren to the beach for the day to give us a reason to live longer and their parents a day off from childcare! :-) or having the friends around for a BBQ or takeaway on a Saturday!

I am always open to new friendships.. and over time have made some really good friends of both sexes on here. Some of us go back a long way.. from the early days of MSE! Let's face it, Rome was not built in a day and friendship is a great place to begin.
