Just emerging from a 17 year marriage with my sanity intact (just about!). Suddenly realised I don't know anybody I'm not related to or I don't work with!! Thought I'd give this a try.
I like football (only watching - I'm too old to play!), music (both live and recorded), reading, eating out and the occasional pint.
Until recently, I had been a non-smoker for over five years, but recent events have reminded me that we all need a prop sometimes and tobacco seems to be mine! Keeping the numbers down until I feel brave enough to face the world without help again!!
I don't get anywhere near as much exercise as I should, but on the occasions when I get around to it my punishments of choice are walking the dog, swimming and cycling (in that order of preference!). As I don't make a habit of it, I'm probably carrying a little more weight than I should be but I'm relatively healthy, so I try not to lose any sleep over it.
I'm fairly quiet around new people, but I liven up once my confidence levels rise. I have what gets described as an 'interesting' sense of humour (well I thought it was funny!) and I like to laugh, although there's not been too much of that recently.
That's about all I can think of, for now.
As suggested above, I have few friends. I don't think it's because I unfriendly or difficult to like (although who knows?) so I'm hoping it's due to a busy family lifestyle.
Anyway, it would be nice to meet one or two people (maybe more - you can never have too many friends, after all!) to spend the odd evening with; in a pub, restaurant or perhaps a movie. With a bit of luck, we may both gain a good friend out of it, and if anything more develops so much the better!
I don't really have a 'type', although obviously it helps if we have something in common. Check out the tags, but I've probably forgotten something so don't assume it's a complete list!!
If you like to talk, to laugh, to eat and to generally have a good time, we're probably on the same wavelength, so get in touch and let's see what happens!!
