BobR (69) from Northumberland

I’ve done the easy part and that’s joining up, now here’s the hard part, trying to put into words what I am truly like. I love having someone to talk to, and I am not shy when meeting groups of people, I love eating out, I make friends easily, and I am well thought of in my Northumberland village. People know me because I used to own and run a local hotel, and did most of the cooking myself. I go to Holland a few times a year to visit “family”. If you are looking for a kind, gentle, good hearted person, totally house trained then email me, I won’t bite, and would love to hear from you.
I value honesty and integrity in myself and others and am looking for a non- smoker who is like minded. Ideally, I would like someone with a sense of adventure and good humor. I am fairly independent, but miss female company to share my future. I would like to meet someone who respects me and is interested in what I think and feel; she'll get that same respect and interest from me. I respect the need for people needing their own space from time to time, but am looking for a committed relationship rather than a series of dating adventures. My interests are varied: skiing, a couple of weeks a year, I get to the Gym a couple of times a week to keep in shape. I enjoy theatre, travel, entertaining, serious DIY (I’ve built a house and several extensions for myself and others) and gardening. I choose to relax in the evenings with music, TV or films, and once in a while down my local bar to catch up with friends and village news. I am presently re-modeling my house. I would love to meet someone who shares some of these interests as well as introducing me to new interests.
Having traveled extensively and worked abroad in Asia and Africa as a Mechanicall Engineer for many years, I am interested in World affairs and care about what’s going on. Honesty is important to me and I expect the same curtsey in any responses please.
