I am just over 5' tall and live in a beautiful area of Scotland. I have two kids who are grown and independant now, and am looking to find a parter after 10 years living alone. I am a trained therapist, and am currently doing a Master in Literature at University, which is enormously enjoyable.
I love tons of different things - reading, writing, guitar, collecting items
of antiquity/art, walking my depressingly thick dog. I love archeology and enjoy travellling to places of great natural beauty, and to places with terrific archeology.
I enjoy reading most things - classical literature, contemporary literature, some poetry, psychology, sociology - most stuff really.
I adore the theatre, especially musicals, and go as often as I can.
I would love to meet someone who is well educated, very intelligent, with a great sense of humour and lots of energy and interest in life. Someone who enjoys travelling to beautiful places, and enjoys a night at the theatre, etc. Someone who enjoys sharing their own interests, and with enough energy to learn somebody elses.

Cooking
|
I really enjoy cooking when I have time to do it properly, although usually I am in a rush, and thats no fun. I like all food really, thai and india and chinese - you name it, if it stays still long enough, I will certainly try to eat it.

Shopping
|
I love looking at antiques, art, or items from antiquity, and preferably all three. But i dont like to spend hours in a town centre, or only if there is something very specific in mind.

|
I cant say Im enthusiastic, but I do what needs doing.

Housework
|
I love a beautiful and tidy home. Sadly, mine isnt. I have lots of lovely works of art, some original, and these interest me greatly...and I spend a lot of time studying and working at home, so these things take up space....and I have some art projects Im always fiddling with....so you can imagine tidy doesnt happen often. Clean? ...I'm good at clean. But just not very good at tidy.

Dining out
|
Love to eat out. And I eat almost anything, although not keen on sea food. Somewhere quietish with a bit of atmosphere. An open fireplace is a great draw, I always think.

Movies
|
I do enjoy the pictures, although I seldom go. Drama, humour, based on life experience, all sorts really. Can live without sci fi and sport, but am willing to take an interest if someone wants to share one.

Theatre
|
I love lots of the old classical authors - Austin, Trollope, Hardy and so on, and really enjoy period pieces based on their work. Ditto classical musicals and some contemporary ones like Les Mis, Moulon Rouge, Chicago etc. I love physical theatre and dance.

Music
|
I dance like a camel, not a pretty sight, but I enjoy a variety of different kinds of music and am willing to potter about on the dance floor if needs be, although I cant stand clubs and seldom visit pubs. Dont like heavy metal, punk, any of that lot...something a bit more refined and sophistaced...just like me.....

Gigs
|
You would have to knock me out and drag me to a gig by the hair. No noisy stuff. I am a grown up.

Pubs
|
I dont mind the odd pub, but generally they are only as interesting as the people who go in them to drink, and it seems to me that generally they fail to fascinate.

Newspapers and magazines
|
Dont read many, wish I could, just dont have time, but if I do prefer the Times, Independent, Guardian and so on.

|
Currently reading The Origin of Social Dysfunction; How to read a poem; 7 types of ambiguity; The Liars Club; The Man who mistook his wife for a hat. Read tons.

TV
|
Some great programs on the box in my opinion, but dont often get around to watching them....

Watching sport
|
I dont really get it. Can tolerate rugby, and appreciate gymnastics and ice skating and a few other bits, but most things to do with kicking or hitting little round balls ...not really

Playing sport
|
I love walking, although I have to say on the flat or almost flat where possible. Down is also a possibility. Up, not so much. Although I love to be taken up and then look down, but I'm an open minded girl, aways open to seriously considering the offer of piggy backs......

Hobbies
|
I write quite a bit, love playing the guitar (although my neighours beg me to stop), sing (ditto), fiddle about with oil paints and acrylics (not good at it though), adore different types of music, adore open fireplaces, and beautiful views,....
