Where do I begin , I am not very comfortable talking to a machine or talking about myself but here goes .
I am a loyal and caring person who likes to spend time with family and friends .
I am a very active lady who likes to play tennis ,walking ,dancing and also skiing
I also enjoy going to the theatre , pictures and reading .
Like most people of my age I also enjoy sitting in the garden on a nice summer day ( with a glass of wine).Or sitting in watching a film or listening to music ,(on a not so nice day or cold winter evening ).
I am outging person who gets on with people making friends easily . I moved to St Albans 4 years ago and have made friends but would like to widen my circle .
I have been divorced for 7 years I have two grown up children who live locally .

I am looking for both Male and Female friends to go out with ,holiday with .
I would also like to meet a long term partner .

My hobbies and interests

Cooking	I enjoy cooking for family and friends .I like and cook a variety of styles depending on the occasion .
Shopping	Dont enjoy day to day food shopping .I do enjoy a trip to the clothes shops but only occasionaly .
DIY	I have become quiet handy at DIY since I have been on my own .I have painted and decorated two houses .I am also handy with an needle making my own curtains for the house .
Housework	I dont like housework but do like the house to look nice be clean and tidy.
Dining out	I enjoy eating out ,my favourite is seafood but I also enjoy many other types of food including Indian and Italian .
Movies	I enjoy going to the movies . Enjoy all sorts recently seen Slumdog Millionaire ,Star Trek ,Bond.I also enjoy the chick flicks.
Theatre	I enjoy going to the theatre , being close to London I am able to go to shows there. I dont go as ofton as I would like as not always able to find someone to go with . Musicals are my favourite and also enjoy the ballet .
Music	Very easy going about music , dont have any real favourites
Gigs	Dont go to a lot of gigs but have been to both stadium and local pubs .Have the Horn close by so do go there sometimes.
Pubs	Happy to go out for a drink and meal at the pub .
Clubbing	Have not been to a club for a long time.
Newspapers and magazines	I read my local paper , but tend to get my news from the internet and tv .
Books	Read just for fun , always have a book on the go ,often books recomended by friends .Just finished Ben Elton's Blind Faith ,enjoy Ian Rankin and a good romance . Also have a few autobiography's on my book shelves .
TV	I watch the tv when I have nothing better to do . I gave up recording programs a long time ago as I never get round to watchinging them but do use catch up tv sometimes . I am happy to sit in and watch a dvd .
Watching sport	I watch tennis ,rugby and very occasionally a football match .
Playing sport	I play tennis a couple of times a week , I am the captain for one of our ladies teams .
Hobbies	I enjoy skiing , I only took it up about 5 years ago but love it and make it one of my holidays each year .

My hopes and dreams

In ten years I see myself	I will be retired , and hope to have someone who I can enjoy staying home with ,or go travelling with .Someone that I can look after and spoil and who will do the same for me.I hope that as I am fit and active I will remain so enjoying playing tennis walking , gardening even a spot of DIY. I would like to travel ,
Who would I invite to a dinner party?	This needs some thought , so thats what I'll do
My ideal date	My ideal date would be to go dancing .Could include a meal and or drink before or after so that there was time for a talk .
What would I never, ever give up?	My family as they mean to much to me .
If I had to give a speech on a subject I was passionate about ...	The benefits of finding and doing something that you enjoy .
If I could visit anywhere in the world at any time in history	There are many places and times , so need more thought to come up with one answer but I would like to visist the China , Japan , Australia , and would like to go back in time in England .
If I had a million pounds to give to charity	I would give it to Great Ormand Street hospital
