Hi, thanks for taking the time to read this, I am sure I will update the profile in due course as I really am unsure just how much to put in here. I'm a woman who can live on her own, but enjoys a lot of things that are enhanced with company, but it does have to be the right company. I love to read, not a great tv watcher, enjoy live music of all sorts, try to be somebody that gives at least as much as she gets, although having said that, I am not comfortable around those that expect me to be the giver all the time.

I was raised mainly in London but have lived in Cumbria for the last 18 years. I've been divorced for the last year or so, and single for a year before that, so decided it was time to see what I was missing.

This is a tough one. I think that I don't have a 'type' but then if I am honest there are things that I like and dislike in order for there to be any hope of a spark. For a relationship to work, we both have to be attracted to one another, otherwise the best we can hope for is a friendship. I'd like to meet somebody that is as open and receptive to a relationship, without being desperate, because ultimately I would rather be alone that in a relationship for the sake of having a guy to tote me around. I guess somebody who is open to travel and trying new cultures and not someone who has the kind of attitude that means 'It's Monday so it must be chicken pie' that would drive me nuts, sorry :(
