I'm a friendly, easy going fairly "outdoor" sort of guy. I work in I.T. during the week, but at weekends I like to get out on the hills walking,cycling,even a bit of rock climbing. That all keeps me fit.. I love travel,and have lived and worked in Korea, Japan, Mexico and the USA. Now I just travel for pleasure, and have a long list of places I'd like to go.

I'm really here to look for romance, but I'm very happy to make friends too and increase my social circle. I'd like to meet someone who shared an interest in travel, landscape, history and art. Someoe who enjoys good converation. I'm very open minded about who that might be and what their situation may be. I don't have preset ideas...

My hobbies and interests

Cooking	I like mediteranean cooking, olives, sun dried toms, houmous, fresh salad.Stuff that is healthy but quick!
Shopping	To busyfor shopping, but don't mind it when I have to...
DIY	DIY expert! Can fit kitchens, bathrooms. Doing a major renovationon my house at the moment. I do mywork slowly, but to a high standard.
Housework	Hate housework, but do it anyway. It's a necessary evil!
Dining out	Like to dine out, pretty well any style or country.
Movies	Don't go too often, but enjoy it when I do. Like all sorts of films. Favourite film is probably Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.
Theatre	Enoy it, but rarely do it. Would like to go with someone!
Music	All sorts, rock/pop,folk,world music. I liek listening to foreign radio over the web.
Gigs	I enjoy small pub type gigs more than big concerts.
Pubs	Like pubs as long as you can talk over the music. I'm not a big drinker usually though.
Clubbing	Nah.. not really for me these days.
Newspapers and magazines	Rarely buy a paper, get my news off the web. If I buy a paper its usually The Times or Independent
Books	I'm slowly reading all the Hardy novels, ustfnished Return of the Native. Enoyed Faulks "Birdsong" too,and will read more from him.
TV	Don't watch too muchtelly, but like travel programmes and documentaries.
Watching sport	If I'm interested in a sport I get involved and play it. Not interested in watching someone else. Never been to a footie match in my entire life....
Playing sport	Rock climbing, potholing, mountain biking, rather than competitive sports.
Hobbies	DIY mainly at the moment!

My hopes and dreams

In ten years I see myself	Ideally not having to work for a living! Living part of the time in France or somewhere else. Having time to enjoy life....
Who would I invite to a dinner party?	Oohhh tricky. I'll go for Brunel, Thomas Cochrane and Meryl Streep
My ideal date	A candlelit dinner for two on a ramshackle beachfront bar somewhere warm and sunny.
What would I never, ever give up?	My passport.
If I had to give a speech on a subject I was passionate about ...	Saving the environment.
If I could visit anywhere in the world at any time in history	Seriously interested in living in France, I've even been and viewed properties. Not all the time, but Summers over there would be great.
If I had a million pounds to give to charity	I'd like to save some rainforest, so I'd buy some and put a big fence around it
