About me

Art and sport are strong passions for me, and I admire science from a distance. It looks like I'll be going to Newcastle University this year, where I'll study English Literature. My ambitions this summer include visiting friends in Spain and Portugal, then teaching English in China, and hopefully catching the Beijing Olympics while I'm there, which wasn't planned at all.

My taste in music is quite varied, though you could narrow it down to punk rock. I would say three of my favourite bands are Joy Division, Radiohead, and The Black Keys. Like most people, I enjoy going to the cinema and the gym when I can. I regard 'Blade Runner', 'Citizen Kane', and 'East of Eden' as my favourite films. Three of my favourite literary classics would be 'A Christmas Carol', 'Dracula', and 'The Great Gatsby'. I'm also an avid fan of Arsenal, but I won't bore you with that.

My last relationship ended after six years, which was two years ago now. It didn't end badly, but we don't keep in contact. We lived mainly in Edinburgh, a simply stunning city, where I worked as a QS for a civil engineering company, then eventually moved to Newcastle. However, my family still live in London, so I do a lot of travelling.

Physically, I would describe myself as a tall skinny but strong Chinese bloke. I'm also incredibly loyal, quite funny, very sociable, and looking forward to life at university.

About you

Looking to meet, understand and have fun with new people. Ideally local folk from Newcastle, but I would also correspond with people from around the country. That's me ballooning by the way in the bottom picture. Similar interests aren't always important, but I do hold dear character traits such as loyalty and an open mind.

Essentially, I want to build up a large network of friends to share whatever life throws my way. Hopefully, I can also add something to someone's life too. So, if you like what you read, please do let me know.
