I'm caring and sensitive,honest and reliable, energetic and young at heart, funny .. and modest and shy - so it's really agony trying to word something to promote yourself!! Basically just a big wuss!

I love all sorts of music and live concerts or theatre. Want to travel back in time to the 80's and see Billy Joel and Prince live when they were at their peak. Maybe some Stevie Wonder or Tina Turner. Perhaps one last concert by Tom Paxton, even though I've seen him about 20 times since schooldays. Chillout with some mellow jazzy saxophone music. Then return to today and see a concert by The Zutons.

I like watching entertaining / obvious / often soppy films rather than worthy, intellectual, subtitled 'masterpieces'. So 'chick flicks' such as Love Actually, Bridget Jones, Mamma Mia, etc or improbable action movies such as Con Air, Die Hard 1-14, Lethal Weapon 1-12, etc are fine by me. Favourite film is Strictly Ballroom - probably pure escapism because I'm c**p at dancing!!

I can do serious as well as shallow, and sometimes (if I try really really hard) can even act my age rather than my shoe size ... but not too often !!

No unusual interests or daring pursuits - so any extreme sports fanatics, I'll sit in the car minding your coat and handbag ... and visit you regularly in hospital if needed!

I love football (most of the time), lifelong Everton supporter and very occasional Tranmere sufferer .. my mobile welcome message is "Better Dead Than Red", but it's only a joke and I can generously tolerate supporters of other teams!!

Maybe unusually, I am quite happy being dragged round the shops - either as personal shopping advisor or mere bag carrier. Also like weekends away - historic cities, coastline, countryside, galleries /museums - basically anywhere with the right person.

Oh yes ... and I write a lot! Have I filled the page yet?

Attractive looks and non-obese figure is a good start, then at least one of us will look good!!

Eventually though, the most important thing is personality and a shared sense of fun and romance.

Holding hands and cuddling is good - who cares if the other customers in Tescos are giving you funny looks!!

Still looking for that local long-term relationship, but enjoying making some friends along the way.

UPDATE: At the risk of invoking the MSE dating curse, I think it's safe to say I'm now in a relationship and only on here for chat / friends. And, thanks to the local government cuts, I'm now very happily retired!!!
