My main photo is the 'windswept look' just after I reached the top of the hills around Ullswater. I admit this photo is a few years old now but it's my 'original' one and everything is still in the same place.
It's not my most flattering pose, but probably the real me although I do have 'glad rags' for visiting the theatre or a posh restaurant.
I've finally added a few more recent pics and if you want to sift through the meetups galleries you may spot me there too.

I like variety and I hate a set routine. I love learning and enjoy travel prefering to visit places with a bit of mystery and history rather than just sea and sand. One of my favourite trips was when I just pointed my car north and ended up in Scotland on the magical Isle of Iona. I lived in Vancouver, Canada, for 3 years.

Spending time with my family and socialising with friends is important but sometimes I 'want to be alone' to relax and recharge.

I enjoy 'fairweather walks' in the countryside seeking out quiet pubs and restaurants that have original style and inventive menus to revive me afterwards.

I'm 'socially' sporty, badminton, tennis, ten pin, hire a bike, swim if I must and you don't splash! I'm very 'practical', and enjoy gardening, decorative DIY and the occassional special treat of using my power tools!

The meetups are the 'real life' part of this virtual world and through them I've met lots of great people , including my man, yes it does work as a dating site!
