I’m American and have lived in the UK since March 2001. This is my home now and I love it. By the same token, I enjoy travelling and seeing new places and people whenever I can. Things I am passionate about: music(!), laughter, dancing and my 15 year-old adopted son. Things I can’t stand: ‘txt tlk’, rudeness, poor sportsmanship and monotony.

I’m not here looking for a s**g or one-nighter. (So if you are, please don’t respond!) I’d much rather have good conversations, shared interests and someone to share in life’s adventure.

I am very tactile with close friends and whoever I’m in a relationship with. (If you don’t like to be touched, you don’t want to be near me.) Holding hands in public, cuddling up for a film, kissing on the street—all things I enjoy. On the relationship side, I am very passionate and truly enjoy that sense of ‘desire’ when the chemistry is right.

In case you hadn’t picked it up already, I can be rather straightforward and direct in my communication. I appreciate the same in return (even when I don’t agree with what is said). I’m not one to say ‘yes dear’ (in a non-sarcastic way, at least) and find a good, fair debate to be quite stimulating—as long as it isn’t a constant thing.

I like snooker! If you play, fantastic! If you play poorly, no problem. If you play exceptionally well, you’ll easily beat me! I like the game for itself and am always happy to play. So if you’re just seeking a buddy for the occasional snooker, we could get along just fine. Not all contacts on here need to result in a ‘dating’ situation!

I’m a bit of a geek and a social butterfly all rolled into one. I’m just as happy discussing mathematical, technical or philosophical issues as I am dancing the night away with a few drinks.

My personal and professional lives create a lovely balance. Professionally, I am quite focused and determined. Personally, I am spontaneous and laid back. In both, I insist on laughter and fun. :)

Well, I joined this after going out to a MSE Meetup in my area. It wasn’t until I was there did I realise that is how all these people knew each other. They were so fun and wonderful! They encouraged me to join, so here I am!

As for what I'm looking for....it is variable. More meetups would be wonderful. Making friends is always a good thing. IF along the way I find an amazingly sexy and intelligent man who enjoys my company as much as I enjoy his, you won't find me complaining!
