About me
Firstly I have always enjoyed my soul music. A few years ago, on moving on from mainstream Motown and Philly to Northern and rare Modern soul discovered there was this whole underground scene of events dedicated to it all. Getting to these has made it so much more than merely a taste in music but now a large circle of friends.
Also active in a network of other voluntarily run social groups which organises discos, sports, long weekend holidays etc. I especially enjoy ten pin bowling.
A basic About Me bit, fairly quiet to begin but friendly and can soon become more outgoing in the right company. Not into the trendy bar and clubbing scene where I've often felt wary and vulnerable, especially as I don't drink alcohol anyway, hence my niche with the soul nights and the other groups mentioned.
About you
Joined on seeing Northern Soul in conversation on the message board when a link was posted up on another soulies' newsgroup, thought it would be good to introduce myself to the other soulies on the board, went on to attend and enjoy a meetup. Would love to hear from any more soulies on this board.
