I am a vegetarian Buddhist and a doctor, living in Burton-on-Trent. I like just about anything that stimulates my mind including new places, new ideas and (of course) new people. I don't want to say too much else as I want you to find out by mailing me ;-) Some of my odder ambitions are, however:

Learning to pilot some form of aircraft
SCUBA diving to an underwater volcano
Walking the Mountains of The Moon in Africa

My hobbies and interests

Cooking	Love it but rarely get the time. Like putting together something new and making special dinners. Eat veggie but usually end up cooking the Christmas meat for family, lol
Shopping	LOVE shopping. Weird I know but am happy to shop for nearly anything especially clothes but sometimes need help in matters of taste!
DIY	Erm...
Housework	Like things tidy but is so much effort... Lets say middle ground.
Dining out	Yup. Scrummy yummy food. Chinese, Thai, Indian, Japanese, Italian, Moroccan, Mexican, and (of course) traditional English. Is never hard to persuade me restaurant-wards.
Movies	Love cinema but rarely go due to random poor films. Lol, am cinema snob. Well maybe snob is not the right word for someone who likes superhero, action (not horribly bloody), drama, historical, etc. Almost anything with a (semi) decent plot really. Maybe eclectic is a better word.
Theatre	Like the theatre but rarely go as don't have many friends who like it. Fave is Les Miserables so far.
Music	Lyric based rather than music or rhythm. Prefer femal vocal. Like a wide variety. Used to always be first on the dance-floor but that was a few years ago...
Gigs	Usually have to be persuaded but often enjoy myself when I go.
Pubs	I do like a nice country-ish pub. Like cider and wine but rarely get drunk.
Clubbing	Erm...
Newspapers and magazines	Hmmm. Never seem to get the time.
Books	See films, lol. Fave authors are John Grisham, Richard laymon, Dean koontz, Simon Scarrow, Kathy Reichs, Matthew Riley. Am continuosly trying to write my own but have TOO MANY ideas!!!
TV	Don't have a TV but do tend to buy what I like on DVD (watch on my computer). Eclectic tastes again: House, Frasier, Bones, Dr Who, Criminal Minds, Dexter, Buffy, Heroes. Hate reality TV but take cruel pleasure in first few episodes of X-factor. Hehe - am a very poor Buddhist...
Watching sport	Erm...
Playing sport	Cycling. Like swimming but am rather rubbish - ditto badminton. Hate gyms but rather feel I shouldn't - always get so bored.
Hobbies	Like history and have had a go at historical re-enactment. That's all you're getting over the internet... lol

My hopes and dreams

In ten years I see myself	A consultant in infectious diseases. Odd but challenging and interesting. I'd love a nice house in the country with loads of land.
Who would I invite to a dinner party?	The Buddha Christ Julius Caesar Hippocrates. Yup that's four but there's always a cancellation...
My ideal date	Somewhere romantic but not riduculously so (at least not for the first), somewhere we could chat and find out about each other. Unrushed. Perhaps a beautiful restaurant or a picnic in a lovely forest or moonlit beach... (do you see the food theme...?)
What would I never, ever give up?	My friends. I know you don't need to ask why.
If I had to give a speech on a subject I was passionate about ...	Homelessness.
If I could visit anywhere in the world at any time in history	Oooooo. So many. India in the time of the Buddha Rome at the height of it's empire Ancient Egypt Australia 10,000 years ago I suppose the past fascinates me - and the great and wonderful civilisations that are often so different to ours. The list of places I'd love to see but haven't yet i spretty huge too: Antarctica, the Amazon, Japan, Russia, India, Thailand, Sri Lanka and many many more - anywhere where life is different to here.
If I had a million pounds to give to charity	Homeless charity. In a first world country no-one should be homeless.
