It is really tough to know how to start these things off as it feels like I am talking to myself. I guess that it won't be the first time and certainly won't be the last :).

I'm a Birmingham-born chap, but I've lost the accent (along with my mind) many years ago. Sadly, the sense of humour lives on so be prepared for plenty of silly jokes and laughter.

I enjoy nothing more than a good chat, hence the reason my phone bill is growing at a faster rate than the national debt. Talking is important as you find out so much about a person. I believe in being straight, but am a tactile person. I have always wondered why liars prosper at the expense of those who are honest. A young lady told me one line that has kind of stayed with me: "The straightest trees are always the first to be cut down". If a person seems perfect they are usually hiding something.

I am a very sociable person, but I don't define sociable in terms of going out and getting drunk. What is wrong with going for a romantic walk in the park or by the beach? There is something wonderful about just watching the world as it is with that special person. It is also nice looking at market stalls and walking through areas you have never been to. Travelling is wonderful and I am fortunate enough to have spent a lot of time in America and have some wonderful friends there.

I've had a few dates but have been single for well over a year now. I have decided that it is about time I found myself a nice, affectionate lady. The bad news for me is that there sure are a lot of men on this site, lol. You ladies must be inundated with mail from all sorts of characters - literally. Don't rush off yet though as I am one of the good guys! I'm not here just to talk about sex; you can always be assured that I will be an absolute gentleman.
