I'm taking 2009 off from looking for someone special and giving myself a break, but haven't altered the rest of my profile to suit:

I love rainbows, waterfalls and sunsets

I was once told I could see the whole world in a seed – I can certainly look beyond the obvious and see the bigger picture

I have many interests – physical, artistic and intellectual

I prefer people to things

Good manners cost nothing, so I use them all the time

I’m into anything that develops the mind, body or spirit

I like to walk in the rain

I’m not narrow-minded – about anything

We’ve all been hurt, but it doesn’t stop me loving

I love trying new things – have just flown for the first time in 2008, and have many more ‘firsts’ that I want to experience

I’d love to try scuba-diving, archery, horse-riding, and tantric sex

I love man-hugs

I’m very caring and spiritual

I read a lot

I don’t like breakfast in bed, but love coffee and croissants with someone special

I’m very spontaneous

I do a great massage with aromatherapy oils (and love to be on the receiving end of them too!)

I like to watch bats flying and deer running

I’m very open and honest and appreciate others who are too

Family values and personal ethics are very important to me. People trust me with their secrets because they know I’ll never betray their trust.

I’m sensitive, and I like being kind to people

I love being kissed down my neck and on to my shoulder

I don’t like being woken up from sleep, so don’t expect me to respond, lol!

I’m more of a lark than an owl

I read runes, tarot, crystals etc

I’m a counsellor with a degree in psychology (and self-employed)

I’m very accepting, and expect others to be too

I don’t need constant attention, but constant awareness would be nice

I don’t mind a little untidiness, but not dirt

You won’t turn me on by lack of hygiene, burping (from either end) or by being anything other than a gentleman

I’m happy with talking dirty, but let’s keep it to the bedroom, eh? Sexual swear words out of context are a turn-off

I love to stroke men’s hairy forearms

I’m very tactile generally

I'm not into casual sex

My favourite flowers to look at are lilies and gerberas - to smell, freesias

I’m as happy with egg and chips as I am with a meal in a restaurant (and fish and chips at the coast is just great!)

I'm not political by any definition

I am more eloquent in writing than verbally (in common with Shakespeare, may I add!)

I can do many practical jobs, but I’m not a good gardener

I’m mainly vegetarian and I do transcendental meditation

I have an air-hockey table

My musical tastes are very eclectic

I can’t abide injustice

I used to do belly dancing, and tae kwon do

About you

Not looking in 2009 but happy to make friends. Most of what follows will apply once I am 'looking' again!

I don’t smoke – and wouldn’t get involved with anyone who did (sorry, but the smell makes me nauseous)

I'm not interested in the car you drive, the house you live in or how much you earn - the way you treat women is more important

Someone to laugh with over private jokes that we've made up

Someone to share new experiences with - because it's fun trying new things

Someone to accept me as I am now but who will join and encourage me in my quest to increase my fitness

Someone to get to know ME - not overprint me with every other woman he's known

Someone who doesn't think my life experiences are any lesser or greater than theirs

Someone with whom I can share things as diverse as fish and chips and crunching up autumn leaves or discussing injustice, literature, philosophy etc

Someone who will do things knowing that it's not his cup of tea but because I want to (and vice versa)

Someone who will take the time to find out what I like to do in (and out of) bed, will show me what he likes, and find new things we like together

Someone who can relate generally to the above and is interested in discovering the specifics
