Sunny-Side-Up    (52) from North East London 

I have studied counselling psychology over the last few years and, as a result, can say I know myself quite well. I have two beautiful adult children, one living in Australia,(updated...my daughter is now back in the UK..:-) and I love and am proud of them both. I would describe myself as communicative, tactile, inquisitive, accepting, down-to-earth, non-materialistic. I dislike shopping and crowded places...or too much noise...unless the noise is the rumbling of a forthcoming thunder storm. A lover of nature. I get a lot of pleasure watching the wildlife in my garden. I have a fascination with the sea and enjoyed many beautiful moments whale watching off the East Coast of Australia in 2005. A magical experience. I enjoy studying/learning and am often found engrossed in a book or two.

I work full-time and plan to set up a small business from home ... and yet still manage lots of leisure time and I feel this is a good balance. I enjoy the usual lunches, time out with my friends, visiting places of interest here in London. I have an interest in art and feel privileged to live near many amazing galleries...well one could never feel bored...living in London. I also have interests in psychology and the social sciences. I have had a lifelong desire to live by the sea and the countryside and to absorb myself in nature ... and as such I am putting plans in place to make this happen within the next year or so. I would love to own a little dog or two but feel it unfair, just now, due to personal commitments.

I enjoy music, Arethra Franklin being a particular favourite. Also enjoy listening to Nina Simone, Norah Jones, Dusty Springfield....and David Bowie.... I have developed a recent interest in bridges and have an affinity for Tower Bridge here in London....so this is as area I would like to develop, linked, I feel also to my interest in psychology....'making connections'...if this makes sense? I still regret not walking over the Brooklyn Bridge at twilight during a visit to New York. A couple of very new, unfolding, interests are photography and ornithology ... and although no real interest in snapping the perfect picture ... I feel getting 'out there' will enable me to 'see' nature from a different perspective. 

I do not 'actively' seek out a partner, and feel love will find me when the time is right. How does one define love? The person I am most likely to connect with, however, is someone quietly confident. Attractiveness is subjective, I feel, so have no list of physical requirements. I'm more interested in 'you' as a person. I do, ultimately, desire intimacy, so an emotionally intelligent man would be a pleasure to meet.
