Ugly, scrawny, decrepit, poverty-stricken female looking for young, filthy rich JohnnyDepp-alike who will lavish her with undying adoration and an opulent lifestyle. Short of that, a few new friends wouldn't go amiss.

I never was good at bulling myself up. I guess here I'm supposed to say I'm caring, curious, cuddly, and other c-words. Or funny, faithful, friendly, and other f-words. Of course, I could also be deceitful, dishonest, duplicitous ... but unless you get to know me, you'll never know otherwise. I'm not a gurly type and don't enjoy trawling round Next and Principles on a Saturday afternoon, but neither am particularly keen on shivering in a draughty football stadium. Out of the two, I'd probably leave you to it and take my dog for a walk by the river.

Widowed in late 2006 after a very happy 28 years, and emerging from the darkness ... most of our friends were couples who I'm no longer in touch with. Looking for friends who enjoy talking about anything and everything, who can hold open conversations and respect others' points of view, who aren't impressed by material accoutrements and possessions, who appreciate that the best things in life aren't THINGS.
