Rather than the usual ‘I like quiet nights in with a good film and a bottle of wine’ approach I thought I’d do a quick Q&A session to make it more interesting. I’ve consulted with female friends on the kind of questions you like answers to, so here goes.

Q: Why Squash?
A: I do like the vegetable, esp roasted, and I love playing squash. It’s getting dangerous now though. The squash ct is the most common place of death for men over 35!

Q: So, you do any other sports?
A: Yes, a few: tennis, swimming, windsurfing, cycling and surfing. Not all in one day though.

Q: So with all this exercise, do you ever find time to relax?
A: Ooh yes, I love a good massage and sauna and like most people, I enjoy relaxing with friends and family over dinner with a good bottle of wine. And I love going to the cinema.

Q: Where do you work, do you have a good job and do you earn enough money to buy me that expensive dress I’ve always wanted?
A: So many questions. Yes I have a good job which I quite enjoy, especially as I only do 4 days a week. I earn enough to live comfortably, but I’m not extravagant. Certainly enough for a nice dress, but whether I buy it, well, that depends on how nicely you ask..

Q: Do you cook?
A: Yep, I love cooking. Mainly pasta, fish and stir fry’s. I don’t do meat, except for the occasional free range duck from Waitrose. Their ducks are treated like royalty you know – they have their own ponds with plugs and fresh water every day.
I’ve seen pictures, very happy ducks. Okay, I know they die in the end, but at least they’re happy. And they taste lovely!

Q: What do you enjoy, socially
A: I love eating out, but I don’t spend long evenings in the pub any more. My nightclubbing days are long gone, and I’m happier going to a comedy club or live music event.

Q: Where are you from and what brings you to Bournemouth?
A: My family is from ‘Up North’ (where the Eccles cakes come from), but I was brought up in Devon. And after spending several years working in London and overseas, I moved to Bournemouth in 2000 because I like it here. The beach, the countryside, the pace of life, the people, I love it all.

Q: What’s your favourite holiday, favourite food and what car do you drive?
A: Picking one favourite holiday is tricky – probably a tie between Peru (the Inca trail was awesome) and Australia. Favourite food would be thai or that happy free range duck from Waitrose. And I drive a very unpretentious Toyota Carina. It’s fab.

Q: What are you like?
A: I’m lovely, of course. I’ve got a great sense of humour, I’m charming, handsome, swarve, sophisticated, got a Porsche ……….. ok, now you know I’m fibbing.
But seriously, I am one of the nice guys. I’m not your typical alpha male – I’m a quietly confident genuine honest person with a positive outlook. And for those of you interested in such things, I’m a Piscean (so no Gemini’s, sorry) and I was born in the Year of the Horse.

That’s it, any other questions, just drop me a line. And by the way, every now and then, I do quite enjoy quiet nights in with a good film and a bottle of wine. To share of course. I don’t drink the whole bottle myself!
 

I enjoy meeting new people and making new friends and so I’d love to meet someone with whom I can share some or all of the things that I enjoy doing. Perhaps with a little more relaxation thrown in. If I’m guilty of one thing it’s probably that I do too much and don’t relax enough.
If a friendship developed into something more over time that would be great. But as the article on this web site points out, the most important ingredients in any relationship are shared values and Chemisrty. Very true.
