I would like to think I'm a normal sort of person and a pretty balanced character - good job, great friends, a pretty sorted life altogether.

People say I look younger but that, as they say, is in the eye of the beholder. Not that you can tell from the photos - I'm a keen photographer, but obviously self-portraits are not a speciality!!

Although I'm not a gym nut, I do like to keep myself fit and, although I'm originally from London, I much prefer being in the country or by the coast. At the moment I'm living in a village on the Herts/Beds border, and there are plenty of places for walks all around.

Travelling has been a large part of my life and I love discovering new places and new things about familiar places - even if I have to travel somewhere for work, I book an extra day to see the place and be a tourist for at least a short while.

I can't always promise to say or do the right thing, but I do tend to say what I'm feeling and thinking - I have neither the inclination nor memory to be false or deceitful. I do like to talk, and enjoy proper conversation, whether that be close up on the sofa or out for a long walk somewhere.

Even though I would say I am reasonably intelligent, I don't pretend to be a complicated person. I'm caring, genuine and honest and, whilst I am self-confident and assertive when the need arises, I don't do time wasting or arrogance - pretty much a gentleman (if that doesn't sound too arrogant!).

I think those that know me would say I have a reasonable sense of humour. Although it can be a little sharp, it is more quick-witted than cutting, and whether I can make you laugh, I guess is a personal judgement that only you can make.

It would be good to share some time with someone lovely and, not being the type to believe the beginnings of a long-term relationship are to be found in a pub/bar at 2am, I thought I'd see if I could find you this way.
