I'm a very caring person, like to communicate with people, a young 47 and rather unconventional. Very independent and don't like to be told what to do. I'm a vegetarian animal lover and occasionally involve myself with animal rights. I henna my hair and have 2 tattoos.

I keep fit by cycling every day and visiting the gym 2-3 times a week. I write children's stories, read a lot, love dancing, music (African, Arabic, current dance stuff), coffee and chocolate, photography. I hate TV and don't own one. I live on a narrow boat so really enjoy the outdoors.

I am Buddhist and try to bring a bit of Buddhism into my daily life. I divorced in the mid 1980's. I love travelling (when I can afford it), particulary Asia and North Africa. I'm not one to sit on a beach - that's for when I've retired. I generally prefer adventure holidays.

The best things I've done so far are a skydive, a hot air balloon flight over the Nile at dawn and seeing orang-utans in the Borneo rainforest.  

I'm looking for a caring man, 40-50 who likes travel and adventure. I don't mind if you have children. I would prefer someone who takes care of themselves and is fit and healthy.

If you live on a boat you would be ideal and even more ideal if you are vegetarian.
