Recently discovered healthy eating and cooking from ingredients :-) Mostly a veg and fish eater now with the odd small morsel of meat maybe once a week or less but NEVER any hydrogenated vegetable oil. I do overdose on chocolate from time to time though so I guess this is technically my vice - or is it my age? heeheehe

No children (OR PETS) - through choice - I spend a lot of time at home. This is mostly through choice and partly through being a bit reclusive and not liking to go out far which means making friends is challenging.

I think I am at that age where I have started to ponder life, the universe and my part in it all but I somehow can't get it all to add up to 42 ;-) Where's Carol Vorderman when you need her? ;-)

I believe the mind makes the body and if you want to know the state of a person's mind, look at the state of their body. As for me, mastery of my own mind is important work in progress. If you want to find one of many things interesting to me, Google for Noesitherapy or Dr Angel Escudero. I have the original BBC programme "Your Life in Their Hands" from 18 years ago that features him - awesome human being!

Ceroc/jive dancing can be fun and I plan to resume doing a little in the near future. I love gadgets and techie toys and often settle down in bed with an arm full of CPC/Maplin/Dabs/Screwfix/whatever catalogues and a laptop-retail-therapy session :-s

I am a Myers-Briggs ESFJ, which won't tell you that I also like Star Trek (oops - NOT a fanatic), Red Dwarf, Firefly, Jeeves and Wooster, Butterflies (oh yes), beards (on men mostly) and loads more besides.

Spiritual healing and alternative therapies are of great interest to me and I am fascinated by the mechanisms involved when people obtain healing from disease. I like to study what makes people succeed at all things as I believe there is far more to be gained than studying failure.

Oh and many years of self searching and torture have given rise to the firm realisation now that in any relationship breakdown, you can neither APPORTION nor TAKE more than 50% of the blame! :-) 

I am hoping to make a few platonic friends, ladies and gents, who may share some of my interests or bring me into contact with some new and different ones. Interests other than football, sport and drinking!

Building that female support network I have read about in books would be nice too as I now realise that though I still keep in contact with them, most of my friends are male and have moved on, emigrated or are too far away to see for a cuppa or a chat or...

Actually, truth be known, some friends have drifted away because they are male and having found new female partners, they suddenly become untrustworthy to maintain friendships with females any more! Does this look like self esteem issues to anyone else or is it just me? lol
