I have enjoyed being on Internet dating sites before, new to this one
though.
Had a lot of great times with ladies I have formed relationships with in the
past but now back still looking for the right one. Hopefully that someone is
out there somewhere.

A bit about me, when folk get this bit right it looks so easy. When people
get it wrong it is so easy to move on and away. How many people put
almost nothing - do they wonder why they do not get as many replies as
they might?

First things first, I have had great difficulties where I have started
relationships and found that my new partner has been upset by my
unwillingness to change to a way of life that they dream of.

I have my own children (grown up and settled), grandchildren, car, house,
hair, teeth (most), sanity (probably), fingernails and job. I might change
the car in the near future. The rest I will probably stick with. That
doesn't mean I don't have room in my life, heart and head for someone to
share the joys of life with. After all that is why I am writing and you are
reading this.

I don't quite understand why people list the books and music that they
read/listen to, surely these are pretty much solitary activities? (BTW I am
completing reading all of the books by/about Howard Marks; the last pop
recording I bought was something by Rod Stewart in the early 1970's)

My sometime other interests are playing in brass bands, family history,
the last hour in the pub.

That's aplenty of the positive, what about the downside? There's ALWAYS
a downside.

I don't do sport, but I have quite recently taken up visiting the gym, as
part of my weight loss regime. Not a lover of the gym despite it's
effectiveness; I would much rather do some heavy building or garden
work instead, the product gives much more satisfaction I find.

Although my work often takes me on construction sites I don't do heavy-
duty swearing, gave it up at sixteen. I know what all the words are and
may even have uttered the odd one or two over the past four decades.
You are as likely to be as comfortable around me as I would be near you if
you are adept in profanities.

I am not at all at ease with instant messaging, you can email me at boffpa

correctly first) if you prefer. Would always much prefer to chat on the
phone, before actually meeting someone, of course. I will always try to
respect a persons' level of privacy and right to give out as much or as
little contact detail as they wish.

It would probably be better for me to expect to find a woman who is
happy to be friends, at least initially and possibly for longer.
