About me

Please read all the way through, you never know we could be the ones ;-), I need a strong but not overbearing partner: - I'm 57 years young (Libra 09/51) going on 25 maybe 30 mentally, 6 foot 1.5 inches tall, monogamous, spontaneous, of average build - more cuddly than lean given my activities but not overweight, bluey green eyes and a full head of brown/greying collar length hair, a non-smoker, a social drinker when not driving; I never drink drive – too many lost friends! Very good, outrageously wicked n wacky sense of humour with an outgoing/extrovert personality/character but definitely not loud or brash just fun loving and happy-go-lucky with a serious side. I am confident and totally non-materialistic, definitely not a hippy or new age but I have sympathies with all that is Mother Earth friendly; I do not suffer from the emotions of jealousy or envy in any substantive way. I’m into blues n rock mostly but really enjoy folk n the like as well, I also enjoy live venues/dances. I enjoy a good read especially myths & legends style fiction, I love walking in the woods, or along a beach; I’m into rambling, cycling for pleasure, photography or the odd fishing trip. I dislike playing or watching sports especially football with the exception of a kickaround type game with family or friends, I’m not a TV person preferring to listen to music or the radio but I do watch documentaries, dramas (not soaps), good films, comedies etc. I have five children; 3 boys 33, 31, 21 & 2 girls 27* & 17** (three off hand, one non dependant* with me and one dependant** (full time student shared with my ex) and six grandchildren all of whom I love dearly and am very close to. I have a 8 yr old rescue Golden Labrador “Blue” who is my main walking companion, he is a Prison service reject sniffer dog who was great at his job but has no aggression etc and is a craven coward when it comes to noise. (my eldest boy/girl are both prison officers; my daughter brought him home one day to replace a dearly departed pet). I live in Brentwood Essex just off the town centre and I work full time in South Woodham Ferrers for a multi-national air conditioning/heating manufacturer as a production Supervisor. My children oldest to youngest are;- Prison officer (B, single - engaged (Wormwood Scrubs)), Site Manager (B, married + (4 kids 1 B, 3 G) (Construction)), Prison Officer (G, single - dating (Chelmsford)), Army (B, married + (2 kids 1 G, 1 due 06/12/2008) (2nd Reg Royal Signals)) and Student (G (Thurrock & Basildon College, Performing Arts/Special effects)) (B = boy (G = girl)); no I don't think you're stupid but you'd be surprised at how many times I've been asked lolol.

About you

All I am looking for in the first instance is a regular girlfriend with whom to develop a strong friendship, the rest I will leave to chance and fate. My perfect woman would be a soul mate and a best friend who has a passion that keeps one warm on chilly evenings n frosty mornings, makes one happy when sad and exudes well-being towards all she meets. She would be fairly fit and active and hopefully enjoy long walks; would enjoy having a good laugh mostly at no-ones expense and like doing things n going places. If you are a woman of a compatible age with a congenial personality and you are honest, open, reliable, conscientious with an ability to express yourself at all levels intellectually and emotionally; have a very good sense of humour, preferably like animals and the great outdoors etc please get in touch. I've been divorced 11 years, I need someone to share the pains and joys of life with and I need to be needed; I'm not a drinker, I don't smoke and I'm never aggressive.
