I've got no idea what I'm doing on this site, and if you don't either (regarding yourself, not me) perhaps we should talk....

I have a wide range of interests, particularly music from the sweet to the unlistenable, cinema from the sublime to the ridiculous and politics from the Gramscian to the Chomskyite. I'm reserved and softly spoken, solvent but not materialistic, and though I try & maintain a pose of world-weary cynicism, really I'm a pussycat. 

I'm looking for someone who thinks about the world and takes an interest in it, who is happy to potter around the South Bank or Hampstead Heath talking pseudointellectual nonsense, who can appreciate music with no tunes, comedians who don't tell jokes and movies where nothing happens, and who doesn't take life too seriously.
