Hi, I initially joined this site in a moment of madness (I seem to have a lot of those intermittently) to make new friends and it worked as you can see below. I've given up looking for my Mr Wonderful, I have put myself firmly back on the shelf & I'm no longer interested in dating.

I'm a published writer (mostly short stories and poetry) and have done some freelance work. I love car boot sales and have an eye for a bargain. I also enjoy crosswords, word games, TV/pub quizzes & Sudoku. Also, I can never resist the challenge of a good game of Trivial Pursuit or Who wants to be a Millionaire!!! ....... Go on, I dare ya!! lol

I like watching boxing and rugby and my musical taste varies from early classic rock like Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, The Who, Whitesnake, Alice Cooper to Coldplay, Stereophonics, Scissor Sisters, Snow Patrol, The Feeling and Katie Melua. Also enjoy live music in local venues, but have never been to a massive live concert of anyone famous.

I love dancing, sandy beaches, driving, picnics, Terry Pratchett, DIY, gardening, fashion, interior design, cooking, autobiographies, SHOES, comedy films and sci fi/horror, and good conversations. (Not neccessarily in that order)

I have 3 boys who no longer live with me, and I drive, so it's not a problem for me to get out & about. It would be nice to have someone to go with occasionally though!

I don't like political arguments, thunderstorms, snobbery or British winters, green jelly babies liars & pessimists 

You will be my best friend, confidante. Someone who doesn't fold in a tricky situation. Kind, thoughtful, funny, friendly, trustworthy and true to yourself.
