We all die, rich or poor. We all bleed the same, have broken hearts and feel the losses. Looking down on the rich or looking down on the poor there is no difference in my mind. We are all equal in the ways it matters.
I wish Charles well along with every other person unfortunate enough to have contracted the virus and hope they all recover and sympathise for those who don’t.

Great post Greencare.

I feel sympathy for Charles as he was born into something he had no influence in and the indoctrination of the era. Things will slowly change, but it a terrible burden and although isn't risk of starving, probably has risk of same anxieties that some would argue could be worse than hunger.

It's what people do with wealth that influences what I think of them. The Royal Family do a lot to support charities and good causes and even if you only see them as non human value, they bring a lot to the UK economy.

Look at how Wetherspoon and Sports Direct of this world differ in their approach to Dyson, Kellogg's and even some restaurants in their approach to supporting those in need as opposed to using it as an opportunity to profit and not support their employees.

JustLyn

The Royals are old school. My last job was for a private charity foundation, and we had, as charities do, much contact with the work the royals do, and with them. They are a huge asset to this country, and to the Commonwealth and globally, and although not a royalist myself, except for an enormous respect for HRM, she is absolutely gorgeous. I don't think I could attribute any fault, or even criticism towards the work they do.

I do question Prince Charles having a test when so many others have not been ested especially front line medical staff, but I don't begrudge him his test, it is possible to question such a thing without making it personal.

Well Boris has got it now so no doubt that will cheer a few people up.
Some are seriously asking why the PM was tested, people sicken me at times...

People often seem detached from reality.

Even though it turns out I'm socialist by nature, I realise the impracticality of everyone being treated the exactly the same.

If, for example, we only have access to 200,000 test kits, then key people, especially those who are trying to manage the country are included as important as those serving in a shop or working for NHS. It is not a measure of worth but functionality.

I've seen a lot of folks complaining about how the Buckingham Palace should be vacated to provide homes for the homeless. It's totally unrealistic. Even if we could be so cruel as to turf someone out of a home that has gone through history, with that philosophy we would have to sell off the National Trust and use all the mansions and castles as well.

Well its probably better than that idiot Raab. Matt Hancock and Boris himself have tested possitive and Chris Witty, the CMO has symptoms and is self isolating. I've often thought Gove is an alien in a human suit, I wonder if he can be infected by this earth virus? lol.

So ironic hearing Beth Rigby (the appalling left wing Sky news politics woman) chastising the PM for becoming infected, implying he has been negligent.
I thought victim blaming was a big no no in the left wing world of woke?...

I don't think I've ever seen her so I couldn't comment, but victim blaming is never right.

This in't affecting me as much as I thought, it's made me realise how few people I see, it weird in the shops and I'm ok for books right now, but when that changes I might get more forlorn at the library being closed.
