I thought of this thread because this year I was christened with a new nickname and the guy who invented it has used it again today.

Foodbank Larry*

Oddly enough I think I was christened out of malice but I told some of the guys I work with and it’s caught on and there’s no going back now. Actually most of my work is with the Homeless and someone pointed out if I had been christened Homeless Harry everyone would think I had nowhere to live.

I remember you working on the foodbanks and with a toy bank last Christmas as I thought the toy bank was such a great idea and donated a lot of my kids older stuff. I thought the nickname was a compliment.

Hi Raach if you have more toys this year I think the nearest one to you is Aylesbury. We want donations of toys but storage space is an issue so we don’t start collecting until November.

Foodbank Larry lol.

Ive never had a nickname unless you call the pet names my ex husbands each gave me - "Boo" and "Button", oh and "Lady Penelope"
But only the other day I was thinking about my recent ex-boyfriend's nickname, one we both came up with for him about 5 years ago, as I can't remember how we created it. It was "Tji", and though I remember why the "ji" bit, I can't think why the "T". It's one of those irritating things that puzzle me.

Has a kid it was Pickles because my Dad and my Grandma both worked at the Pickle factory.
In the RAF it was Radar after the character in MASH because I was short and wore glasses.
If I've got one now it tends to be Snowy ... on here anyway.

Chris.
